Funeral service for Ms. Allene Wood, age 96, formerly of Milan, will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan at 2 pm with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Family visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 2 pm at the funeral home. Ms. Wood passed away on January 12, 2018 in Mt. Juliet, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Franklin Wood who was the founding pastor of Temple Baptist Church, a son Jim Wood, one daughter Shirley Wood, her parents Sanford and Biddie Walker Neal, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, David Wood (Tammy) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Bob Wood (Elaine) of Montgomery, AL, a daughter in law Neva Wood of Rockwall, TX, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
