Mr. Gerald Leonard McAdams, age 91 of Milan, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Perry Community Hospital in Linden, TN after a short illness. Along with his wife, Geraldine McAdams, he owned and operated the Milan Big Star #15 Grocery Store for many years. Many civic organizations were helped at various times through his courtesy and generous giving. Although he never drew attention to himself, he was known to help families by giving groceries away to those in need. Mr. Gerald was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Milan and during World War II, he served his country by serving in the U S Army. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Family visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home. Mr.McAdams was survived by his grandson Tony Wolfe (Julie) of Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Waller McAdams, a daughter Margaret M. Wolfe and a grandson Chris Wolfe.
