Funeral services for Mr. J.D. Morris, age 95 of Milan, will take place 2pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church in Milan with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Family will receive friends from 11am until the start of the service at 2pm at the church. Mr. Morris was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where he was also a board member and Sunday School teacher. He was also the District Commander of the Royal Rangers. J.D. retired as a supervisor of the Milan Arsenal. Surviving Family: Wife - Martha Morris Son - Steve Morris (Carol) of Milan Daughters - Robbie Simmons of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Loretta Fae Fly of Gibson, and Kay McDonald (Mark) of Atwood Brother - Leon Morris of Clifton, TN Sister - Agnes Carter of Martin, TN Step-son - Jack Coleman of Bartlett, TN Step-daughter - Sandra Daniel of Milan Grandchildren - 9 and 5 step-grandchildren Great Grandchildren - 17 and 9 step-great grandchildren Great-great Grandchildren - 7 Mr. J.D. is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Opal Moon Morris, first wife Nannie Bell Stevenson, second wife Frances Spain, brother, Jr. Morris and sister, Ruth Lackey.
