Service for Mr. James Powers, age 80 of Milan, will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 11am at Bodkin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday evening from 5 - 8pm at the funeral home. Mr. Powers was a member of the Howse Baptist Church in Atwood. He was a retired mechanic from Bridgestone-Firestone Company. Surviving family: Wife - Bobbie Powers Sons - Tommy Powers and Terry Powers Brother - Ed Powers 6 - Grandchildren 7 - Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Maude Powers, two daughters, Tina Powers and Teresa Powers Shepard, three brothers, Haywood Powers, Charles Powers and Bobby Powers, three sisters, Estile Onell, Edith Allen and Delsie Poore, and two grandchildren.
