Funeral service for Mr. Jerry Thomas Cooper, age 82 of Milan, will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 3 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 2 - 3 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Cooper was a member of the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He formerly served as an Elder for the First Presbyterian Church in Trenton. He was also a Past President of the Trenton Jaycees and in 1959 received the "Man of the Year" award. Surviving Family: Wife - Bailey Harwood Cooper Sons - Jerry Cooper, Jr., Robert McKelvy and James Harwood Daughters - Beth Cooper and Kathleen Duff 9 - Grandchildren 7 - Great Grandchildren Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by two daughters, Belinda Pals and Robyn Tipton. Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN or the Cheyenne Scott Scholarship Fund.
