Funeral service for Mrs. Linda Jarrett, age 77 of Lavinia, will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11 am at the Lavinia Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Lavinia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday evening from 5 8 pm and on Saturday from 10 11 am with all visitation being held at the Lavinia Baptist Church. Mrs. Jarrett was born on May 25, 1941 in Crockett County, TN to her parents Malcolm and Virginia Phillips Mayfield. She was a member of the Lavinia Baptist Church and was a retired worker for the Milan Arsenal. She is survived by her husband Earl Jarret of Lavinia, a son Stephen Hughes (Noel) of Lavinia, one daughter Melinda Simons (David) of Milan, six grandchildren Emily Hughes, Lauren Hughes, Haley Hughes, Jonathan Hughes, Brayden Simons and Mitchell Simons, two great-grandchildren Ayden Hughes and Emma Hughes, one brother Tommy Mayfield (Janice) of Alamo, a sister Gail Gregory (Thomas) of Humboldt and three step-sons Gary Lynn Jarrett (Patricia) of Henryville, IN, Jerry Jarrett of McKenzie and David Jarrett (Michelle) of McKenzie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Larry Scott Hughes and a sister Nancy Plunk. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lavinia Baptist Church in Lavinia, TN.
