Troy was born March 16, 1925, in Carroll County, TN, and was the fourth child born to Hallard Ezra Warren and Eva Jane Spain Warren. He was raised in the Lavinia, TN area and attended Clark School. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged. He was united in holy matrimony on August 14, 1948, to Eulene Gowan Warren and was married to her for just a few weeks short of 60 years before her passing in 2008. From this union, two daughters were born, Sandra Dianne Warren and Donna Lynn Warren.
Over the years, he and Eulene worked side by side in a large farming operation. Additionally, he and Eulene had a seed business dealership on the farm for several years, and he helped to educate other farmers on the best methods of farming to achieve better results.
Troy was a faithful member of Trezevant United Methodist Church for 59 years and served on the Trustee Committee and later as the Chairman. Over this period of time, he also served on the Back Tax Committee, Solid Waste Committee, Resale of Land Committee, Budget Committee, Resolution Commission, Law Enforcement Committee, Rural Fire Committee, and Insurance Committee.
In earlier years, he enjoyed rabbit hunting with his brothers and friends. He enjoyed seeing others out hunting on his land and waited to hear their stories when they returned. After retirement from farming, he looked forward to his daily rounds in town to the Co-op, the Barber Shop and the Bank to get and share the local news. One of Troys favorite highlights was having a large garden and sharing vegetables with family and friends with peas and sweet corn being his specialty.
