Funeral service for Ms. Vera Inez Peacock, age 91 of Atwood, will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11 am at the Howse Baptist Church in Atwood with burial to follow in the Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood. Family visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6 8 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home and on Monday from 10 am 11 am at the church. Ms. Peacock was a member of the Howse Baptist Church in Atwood and she was a retired fruit packer for the citrus industry in Florida. She was preceded death by her husband Ray Peacock, parents Rudolph and Bytha Rhoden Hielscher and two brothers Grady Hielscher and Merlin Hielscher. She is survived by two daughters Arlene Goodwin of Atwood and Ruth Hollis (William) of Frostproof, FL, a son Robert Gurney (Mae) of Lake Wells, FL, one brother Carl Hielscher of Altruas, FL, one sister Vivian Underwood of McDonough, GA, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
