Funeral services for Mrs.
Virginia Coleman, age 95
of Milan, will be held at 3
pm Saturday, October 3,
2015 at the Bodkin Funeral
Home with burial to follow
in the Oakwood Cemetery
in Milan.
Visitation with the family
will be held from 1pm
until the start of the service
at 3pm.
Virgina was born in Carthage,
TN to the late Fred
and Josie Vaden Hubbard.
She married Ira Frank Coleman
and they moved to Milan
in 1950.
Mrs. Coleman retired
from Milan High School
were she worked as the
Director of the Cafeteria.
She was a member of the
Salem United Methodist
Church of Milan. She was
a lifetime member of the
Eastern Star. She loved
to sew and work in her
daughters bookstore and
alterations shop.
Mrs. Virginia is survived
by her daughters, Alberta
Coleman Gabbard and
Irma Hughes of Milan, sister,
Addie Lou St. John of
Carthage, TN, grandchildren,
Ron Alan Gabbard,
Kimberly (Ken) Caldwell,
Julianne (Paul) Trimmer,
daughter-in-law, Sammie
Coleman and 8 great
grandchildren.
She is preceded in death
by her parents Fred and
Josie Hubbard, husband,
Ira Coleman, son, Alton
Coleman, sons-in-law
Lynn Houston Hughes
and Bennie Ray Gabbard,
brothers, Ed High Hubbard,
B.L. Hubbard, and
granddaughter, Cathleen
Coleman.
The family requests memorials
be directed to the
American Cancer Society
or Salem United Methodist
Church of Milan.
