Allen Keith Ford, 66, born in Jackson, TN July 7, 1957 to the late Harold and Jean Ford, passed away May 25, 2024. A 1975 graduate of Milan High School, he was a gifted athlete lettering in basketball, football, and track. He attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, and finished his undergraduate degree at Union University, where he received a BS in education. He completed his Master's Degree at Memphis State University. Allen was an avid supporter of the Milan Bulldogs. Allen was king of the corny jokes right up until his final hours. A dedicated teacher and coach, Allen retired from Jackson – Madison County Schools after 30 years of service. He was a popular substitute teacher at Gibson County High School and Dyer High School until his final illness. Allen is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ladonna Grace Ford; son, Tyler Allen Ford (Wendi); grandson, Colby Ford; granddaughter, Allie Grace (Gracie) Ford; brother, Stan Ford; sisters, Rosemary Crocker (Tim) and Melody Ford Eomurian (Dan) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at Bodkin Funeral Home from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Milan, Rev. Kenny Spray, officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery in Lavinia , Tennessee. Pallbearers: Phil Fry, Preston Hale, David Hampton, Lee Jewell, Mike Messer and Hedrick Shoaf.
