Obituary

Angelina “Angie” Winters Hillard, 80, passed away on September 12, 2026. She was born July 29, 1946, in Madison County, Tennessee, to the late John “J.W.” Winters and Enedina Cruz Winters.

Angie was a proud graduate of Milan High School, Class of 1964. She retired from the business office of the Milan American Ordinance/Arsenal and continued serving her community through volunteer work with Hope Ministries and as a board member of the Milan Mustard Seed. She was also the owner of Southgate Gun Shop.

Faith was at the heart of Angie’s life. She was active in church throughout her lifetime and was a member of Soulquest Church. She will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and love of shopping, decorating, and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Her home and heart were always open, and she had a special way of making the people around her feel loved.

Angie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, E.V. Hillard.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her sons, Jimmy Thomas (Kelly) and Clint Hillard; sisters, Rosie Lowery, Kathy Normand, and Diane Mallard; grandchildren, Hillary Smith, Hope Hopper (Josh), Baker Hillard, Hunter Thomas (Irelan), Harrison Thomas (Kendell), Cody Harris, Cayden Harris, and Carter Harris; and great-grandchildren, Tucker, Neyland, Oakley, Wrigley, Blakley, and Fallon.

Angie’s greatest legacy will not be found in the things she owned or the places she worked, but in the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family and community who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00–8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30–11:00 a.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Oakfield Cemetery in Jackson, Tennessee.
