Ann
Cannon
September 19, 1945 – January 14, 2024
Charlotte Ann Cannon of Lexington, TN passed away on January 14, 2024, with her family by her side at the age of 78. She was born on September 19, 1945, to Charles & Rethie Cannon in Juno, TN. She graduated high school in Colorado Springs in 1963. She held many jobs over the years from always being a full-time mother to 32 years as an Insurance Agent, still supporting clients at the time of her death.
She has lived in many states but returned home to Tennessee in 1979 to be near her family. Her favorite hobby was talking on the phone with family and friends. Her favorite activities were spending time on the water, playing games, singing, music and dancing. She loved helping people in any way she could and was always ready to lend a hand. She was a Christian who had a strong faith in God. She attended the online services of Love & Truth Church in Jackson, TN. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Otis Cannon, her mother Rethie O'rene Tart Cannon Bray, her brothers Wayne Cannon and Larry Cannon and her sister Mary Cannon Heman.
Ann cherished her family, second to God, and loved them "with a passion" as she always said. She is survived by her 5 children: Cynthia Comtois (Ron) of Key Largo, FL; Jeffery Cederburg of Lexington, TN; Kari Malm (Mike) of Denton, TX; Jami White (Paul) of Murfreesboro, TN; and Candy Marr (John) of Fort Leonard Wood, MO. "Grami" has 13 grandchildren: Dylan Cederburg (Kelly), Hailey Carignan, Kyle Knight (Gracy), Alec Carignan (Keesha), Kyndall Cederburg, Nicole Carignan, Adam Knight, Cole Kozlowski, Ryan Knight, Chase Kozlowski, Rethie Marr, Liliana Marr and Josiah Marr. She has 7 great grandchildren: Taylor, Atalie, Carolina, Ellie, Troy, Kylee, & Greyson. She taught us how to live with love, strength, compassion, forgiveness, and faith. She is survived by two sisters: Judy Cannon Smith (Thomas) of Medina, TN and Beckie Cannon Smith of Galveston, TX. She was known as Mommy Ann to her nieces, nephews, and many others. She holds a special place in the hearts of many and will always be loved, cherished, and missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the fellowship hall in Sand Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 4:00pm. Ann wants us to celebrate her life rather than mourn. Please come prepared to share your favorite memories of her and bring any pictures or other items you would like to share. While we know there will be tears, let's fill the room with laughter and love for her.
Food and beverages will be served. We will have Ann's favorite BBQ, pasta, and sides. Please feel free to bring a dish to add to her celebration! In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Love & Truth Church in Jackson, TN, The Trump Foundation, Shriner Children Hospital or The Ronald McDonald House.
