Ann Mathis Jinkins, age 68 of Jackson, formerly of Milan, passed away peacefully at home November 18, 2021.
She battled with Parkinson's Disease for 16 years and dementia for the last 4 1/2 years.
Ann was born July 14, 1953, in Trenton to J.D. Mathis, Jr and Demetria Turner Mathis. She was a member of FBC Milan where she served on various committees but was counted on to help decorate for many special church functions, showers, teas, and anniversaries.
Ann was employed for 25 years at Coffman's Furniture in Jackson as a buyer and interior designer. Over the years she decorated many beautiful homes in Madison and Gibson Counties. She was a 1971 graduate of Peabody High School and majored in Business at University of Tennessee at Martin.
Ann is survived by her husband of 48 years Mike Jinkins, daughters Tiffany (Jay) Richardson of Brentwood and Allison (Travis) Vance of Jackson. They have 6 grandchildren, Griffin & Anna Richardson of Brentwood, and Harrison, Alexis, Gray, and Cora Vance of Jackson.
Ann leaves her brother, Jerry (Carolyn) Mathis of Trenton, sister-in-law, Kathey (Buck) Hughes of Jackson, and brother-in-law, James (Janet) Jinkins of Paris, TN.
For the past several months, Ann has been taken care of by the AseraCare Hospice Team of Jackson and her most wonderful caregiver Marie Love of Jackson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 12:00 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan, TN with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Trenton. Visitation is 2 hours prior to the service at Bodkin Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
