Graveside service for Arthur Ray Burress, age 92 of Milan, will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 3 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. There will be private, family-only visitation Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Ray was born on April 10, 1929, in Trenton to Joseph Henry and Verdie Clinton Davis Burress. He was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Milan and he was retired from Ceco Door Products. He is survived by a son Terry Ray Burress, four daughters Darlene Gingerich of Jackson, Cheryl George of Milan, Gina Goforth of Texas and Dee Ann Scott of Jackson, seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lockie Merlene Carroll Burress, two brothers Henry Burress and Melvin Burress, two sisters Myrtle Burress and Joyce Burress, and a step brother Sydney Pryor.
