Funeral service for Mr. Auston David Lowery, age 94 of Milan, will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday evening from 5 8 pm and on Saturday from 12 2 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Lowery was born on November 18, 1925 in Idlewild, TN to Marshall King Lowery and Lexie Oliver Lowery. He was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He served his country during WW II in the U S Army. After completion of his tour of duty, Auston returned home and began work at the Milan Arsenal where he worked for 42 years until his retirement. At the time of his retirement he held the position of Line Superintendent. He was a 32 Degree Mason serving for 50 years and he was also a Shriner. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years Billie Frank Lowery and a daughter Jennie Lynn Bradford. He is survived by three children David Lowery (Janice) of Henderson, Phyllis Lowery Sappington (Wayne) of Humboldt and Lisa Bradford Criswell (Bobby) of Trenton, five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
