Avadean Edmundson, a cherished matriarch and graceful soul whose life spanned over a century, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026. Born on May 10, 1922, in Central, she embraced the world with an enduring spirit that touched all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout a life marked by resilience and love, Avadean was a beacon of steadfast devotion to her family and community. She bore witness to remarkable transformations across the decades, yet her heart remained rooted in the timeless values of kindness, perseverance, and unwavering faith.
Avadean was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Tom and Viola Alexander Mulliken, whose loving guidance shaped the foundation of her character. Her devoted husband, Luther Paul Edmundson, with whom she journeyed through many seasons of life, now rests beside her. She also mourned the loss of their daughter, Judy Burrow, and her brothers, Gordon, Marlen, Avery, and Bailey Mulliken, whose memories remain etched deeply within her story.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Jerry Edmundson, together with his wife Patricia, who have been pillars of support and love. Her legacy flourishes through her grandchildren: Mark Edmundson and his wife Amy, David Edmundson, Ron Burrow, and Deana Shephard alongside her husband Michael. The joy of her life extended further through five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, each a vibrant testament to the enduring love she sowed.
Services honoring Avadean’s remarkable life will begin with a visitation on June 10, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home, located at 2000 N 1st St, Milan, Tennessee.
