Barbara Jane Baker, age 80 of Milan, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, at Milan General Hospital. Born to the late James Tipton, Jr and Hilda Patrick Tipton on January 8, 1941, Barbara was a lifelong Milan resident. She attended Milan schools and finished her education at Gulf Park College for Women. Barbara worked at the Milan Arsenal for a few years but was mostly a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Milan. She will be missed by family and several dear close friends. She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Baker of Memphis, TN, brother, Dr. King Tipton and wife Sherry of Fort Myers, FL, cousin, Dr. Robert Patrick and wife Debbie of Milan, and sister-in-law, Sara Tipton. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, James and Hilda Tipton, husband, Robert Douglas Baker, and brother, Dr. James W. Tipton.
