Bettie Ruth Dycus passed away January 6, 2020, at age 84. She was the daughter of Miles Edward "Rabbit" Shannon and Flossie Irene (Baird) Shannon. She was Baptist by faith. She worked as a medical assistant and at the Rutherford Post Office. Mrs. Bettie was preceded in death by husband Billy Wade Dycus and daughter Sheree (Dycus) Gentry Blackwell and brother Edward Donald Shannon. She leaves behind sons Robin Wade Dycus and Christopher Dycus (Gina). Grandsons Weston Gentry and Seth and Cade Dycus. Great Grandchildren Eli and Eve Gentry. Siblings Linda Curry, Edna Duncan (Jim), Gaye Overcast (Larry), and Scotty Shannon. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at 2 pm at the Poplar Grove Cemetery near Dyer.
