Betty Creswell McKelvy passed away at her home March 27, 2021 with her family at her side. Betty was born to Herman C. and Lallie Mai Creswell April 5, 1931. She married her high school sweetheart Frank B. McKelvy in 1949. They were happily married for 72 years and had 3 children. Frank worked for Procter & Gamble and they lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kansas City, Mexico City, Mexico, back to Cincinnati and back to Kansas City where they retired. In 1994 they began dividing their time between K.C. and Port Isabel, Texas. In 2016 they moved permanently to Port Isabel. Betty was a volunteer at church, school, hospitals and food pantries. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and worked as an office manager for doctors both in Kansas City and Cincinnati. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her son Frank B. (Mac) McKelvy III, and her siblings Charles Creswell (Anne), Martha Alexander(Hudson) and Gloria Jones(Ralph). Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband Frank and family Sally Haun(David), Jane Corbin(Ted), Bridget McKelvy Ward(Rick) and Dennis Maurer. Also 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be held at Asbury Methodist Church on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to St. Judes Children's hospital.
