Funeral service for Billie Dean Lovelace Keel, age 79 of Milan, will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 3 PM at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 1 – 3 PM at the funeral home.

She was born in Memphis on January 22, 1945, to William Richard and Mattie Sue Smith Lovelace. For over thirty years, Billie worked for Arnolds Beauty School as a beautician before leaving to start her on business at her residence. Billie volunteered her time with community organizations volunteering for work at the Milan Mustard Seed and for over thirty years with the City of Milan Hospital.

A devoted mom and grandmother, she spent her life nurturing her family. Billie also loved the Lord, and devoted her time and talents to her church, Northside Baptist Church in Milan.

She is survived by a daughter Dr. Cindy Ross of Jackson, a brother Danny Lovelace (Diane) of Milan, grandchildren Ashley Workman (J. T. IV) of Clinton, KY and Kelsey Marie Ross of Jackson and great grandchildren Weston Bryce Workman and Maddie Kate Workman both of Clinton, KY.

In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Junior Keel and a son Richard Keith Keel.
