Billy Joe Whitmore, age 72 of Atwood, lost his battle with cancer on January 13, 2020. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Bradford. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Billy leaves behind his wife, Wilodean McCormick Whitmore; children, Nita Whitmore (Dale) Tosh of Bradford, Jason Whitmore of Bradford, Keith (Jean) Whitmore of Friendship, Bobby Joe (Amber) Whitmore of Atwood, Nicky (Michelle) Williams of Trezevant; two step-children, Tommy (Lydia) Williams of Greenfield, Angie (Terry) Knight of Atwood; 21 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Leatha Whitmore Brooks; father, Robert Whitmore; sister, Janice Carey; brother, Russell Whitmore; and grandson, Harley Cane Whitmore.
