Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Joan Little, age 90 of Lavinia, will take place at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church near Lavinia with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home and Thursday from 12:00 PM until service time at the church. Bobbie was born to the late James C. Clarke and Bertha Mae Oakley Clarke on February 20, 1932, in Cedar Grove. She passed away March 5, 2022. She owned and operated J.C. Thompson and Son Insurance Company for over 40 years. Mrs. Bobbie was a member of the Milan Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church were she taught youth and adult Sunday School. After selling her insurance business, she drove a school bus for several years. She also enjoyed volunteering at the TLC Community Center. Surviving Family: Daughters - Phylis Porter of Lavinia and Linda Black (Mark) of Lavinia Sisters - Jessie Scott of Cedar Grove and Jan Bailey of Pinson Grandchildren - David Dees (Katie), Anna Zaghdoud (Khalid), John Black (Brianne), Natalie Black, and Daniel Porter Great Grandchildren - Layna Church, Colt Dees, and Lily Kate Dees Besides her parents, Mrs. Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Little; brothers, Edward, Carmen, Bill, and Jimmy Dean Clarke; sisters, Elouise Gardulski, Doris Walls, and Jean Martin; and great grandchild, Liza Black. Memorials may be directed to Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
