Funeral services for Bobbie Sue Pratt Priddy, age 88 of Milan, will take place at 2:00 PM Monday, December 23, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church in Milan with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Bro. Kevin Conrad and Pastor Marty Arnold will officiate the service.
Visitation with the family will be Monday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the church.
Mrs. Bobbie was born October 28, 1936, to the late Martin S. Pratt and Georgia Mae Brasher Pratt in Decaturville, TN. She passed away December 19, 2024, at Lebanon Health and Rehab. Mrs. Bobbie graduated from Milan High School in 1954 and received her bachelor's degree from Lambuth University. She was a beloved Kindergarten teacher in Milan for 31 years. She was a long-time member and leader of First United Methodist Church in Milan, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma International Educators Society, Order Of the Eastern Star, and Milan Junior Auxiliary. During her teaching career, Bobbie was awarded West Tennessee Teacher of the Year. She was an Executive Board Member of the Milan High School Alumni Association. In 2004 a scholarship in her name was established and has been awarded yearly at MHS Graduation. Mrs. Bobbie was a true community servant and volunteered in many other organizations and efforts.
She is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" Priddy; daughter in law, Tracy Priddy; grandchildren, William Hunter Priddy and Sara Beth Meador Priddy; great grandchildren, Georgia Lea Meador and Stetson Noah Meador; and a sister, Sammie Coleman.
Besides her parents, Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband Bill Priddy, her stepmother, Lois Pratt, a brother, James Paul Pratt, and sister Geraldine Brown.
Memorials may be directed to the Milan High Schill Alumni Association.
