Funeral service for Bobby Joe Doyle, age 78 of Milan, will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery near Bradford. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 2 – 4 PM and on Sunday from 1 – 2 PM at the funeral home.

Bobby was born on February 24, 1946, to Thomas E. and Jimmie Teague Doyle in Milan. He was educated in the Milan School System and graduated from Milan High School in the class of 1964. Bobby spent his adult lifetime working at various places including the Sealtest Ice Cream Company, the Milan Arsenal and then owning his own car detail business. He was a member of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Bobby was a 32-degree Mason for 47 years, and a Shriner for 34 years, and for 27 years, served the Milan Bulldogs Football team as a member of the "chain gang". He spent six years serving his country in the National Guard.

Bobby is survived by his wife Brenda Joyce Reynolds Doyle of Milan, two sons Jay Doyle (Stephanie) of Milan and David Doyle (Nikki) of Puryear, a brother Tommy Doyle (Joyce) of Milan, one sister Betty Hicks of Bloomington, IN, four grandchildren Stephen Doyle of Cincinnati, OH, Heather Doyle of Knoxville, Dylan Doyle of Big Sandy and Matthew Doyle of Milan and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Jimmie Doyle and a brother Sammy Doyle.
