Mr. Bobby Mayo, age 78 of Atwood, TN, passed away at his home Friday, November 18, 2022. He was born on February 20, 1944, to the late Jesse B. Mayo and Opal Vawter Mayo. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Bobby was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Atwood. He retired from Carroll County where he worked in maintenance. He was always willing to help in his community. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Martha Mayo, and one daughter, Stacy (Mike) Ricketts of Greenfield, TN. Grandchildren: Brody (Jessica) Stanford of Goodlettsville, TN, Dale Stanford of Atwood, TN, Amber Ricketts of Dresden, TN, Daniel (Maggie) Ricketts of Lexington, TN, Savanna Cobb of Greenfield, TN, Ollie-Ann Ricketts of Mt. Juliet, TN Seven Great Grandchildren Brothers: Ralph (Emily) Mayo of Bradford, TN, Jim (Jackie) Mayo of Milan, TN, Jerry (Sherry) Mayo of Trenton, TN Sister: Judy Nelson of Trezevant, TN Besides his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by two brothers, R.J. Mayo and James Mayo, and two sisters, Linda Floyd and Barbara Farley. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Bobby will take place at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
