Memorial service for Brenda Joyce McCartney, age 61 of Jackson, will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2 PM at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church near Bradford. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 1 - 2 PM at the church.

Brenda was born on October 22, 1963, to her parents Abner and Ruth Ann Crocker McCartney and passed away on August 2, 2025, after an extended illness. She graduated from Bradford High School in 1981 and spent many years working at the Milan Arsenal, Kroger in Jackson and in later years as a real estate agent in Jackson.

She is survived by Ruth Ann McCartney of Jackson, brother Dale McCartney of Bradford, a sister Leigh Ann Revelle (Matt) of Cedar Grove, nieces and nephews Amber Shelby (Hunter) Mitchell McCartney, Stephen Canfield-Doyle (George), Jeffery McCartney, Brandi Davis, Bentley McCartney and Jessica Revelle and great-niece and nephews James Ryan Shelby, Jacob Shelby and Beatrice Canfield-Doyle. Brenda was preceded in death by her father Abner McCartney.
