Funeral service for Brenda Jane Smith, age 77 of Milan, will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 1 3 pm at the funeral home. Brenda, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was born on November 14, 1944 to Haskel and Eliza Jane Keen Woodard in Trimble, TN. She retired after many years of service from the Mildred G. Fields Library in Milan and she was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. Brenda is survived by her husband Jack Smith of Milan, two children Tammy Scott (Ronald) and Roger Smith (Traci) both of Milan, a brother Haskel Woodard, Jr. (Norma Jean) of Trezevant, a sister Louise Stanford of West Memphis, AR, four grandchildren Morgan Mahan (Paul) of Milan, Maegan Malady (Jonas) of Milan, Justin Scott (Donna) of Trenton and Janna Ferrell (Josh) of Gibson and eight great grandchildren Kylie Scott, Katelyn Scott, Kobe Scott, Kaleb Scott, Riley Ferrell, Aubrey Ferrell, Kennedy Charlotte Mahan and Madeline Collins Malady. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Thomas M. Woodard and Donnie Woodard and two sisters Evelyn Cash and Opal Lewis.
