Brenda Joan Cox Sorrell, age 71 of Milan, passed away on February 2, 2021 at her home after an extended illness. She was born on February 26, 1949 in Trenton to Melvin and Margaret Scott Cox. Brenda was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Milan and she was a retired school teacher with the Milan Special School District. Brenda is survived by her son Wesley Sorrell of Milan, two grandchildren Landen Sorrell and Annalea Sorrell both of Jackson and two sisters Janie Morrow (John) of Dyer and Carolyn Mathis (Jerry) of Trenton. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Sorrell and her parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home.
