Funeral service for Jerry Franklin "Buddy" Martin, Sr., age 85 of Milan, will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 2 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Antioch Cemetery near Medina. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral home.

Buddy was born on September 23, 1938, to Robert and Ethel Vinson Martin in Medina. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Milan. For many years he owned and operated the family business of the Milan Florist. Buddy also loved to fish and could easily be ready to "go fishing" on a minute's notice.

He is survived by his children Jerry Franklin "Bubba" Martin, Jr. of Milan and Teresa "Sissy" Lewis (Danny) of Medina, one brother Jackie Wayne Martin (Dixie) of Milan, four grandchildren Clay Lewis (Cassie) of Medina, Matthew Lewis of Medina, Josh Martin and Adrian Blackwell (Jeremy) of Medina and eight great grandchildren. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ethel Martin and a brother James Edward Martin.
