Funeral service for James Burl Tidwell, age 61 of Milan, will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 11 AM at the Milan First Assembly of God with burial to follow in the Obion Chapel Cemetery near Cedar Grove. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday evening from 5 – 8 PM and on Tuesday from 10 – 11 AM. Both visitations will be held at the church.

Burl was born on January 28, 1963, to F. M. and Joann Sutton Tidwell in Milan and passed away on April 19, 2024, after an extended illness. He was a member of the Milan First Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife Becky Tidwell of Milan, two children James Brett Tidwell (Kaitlyn Maxwell-Bryant) of Jackson and Beth Denton of Trezevant, five grandchildren Grayson Diamond, Lennon Bryant Tidwell, Averee Denton, Josie Mae Denton and Banks Denton, a brother Allen Tidwell (Wanda) of Lavinia and two sisters Leeann Coleman (Richard) of Lavinia and Mary Jo Hall (Terry) of Trezevant. Burl was preceded in death by his parents F. M and Joann Tidwell.
