Funeral services for Mrs. Carlie Laverne Meales, age 92 of Milan, will take place at 3:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2020, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will take place Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Carlie was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Milan. She owned and operated Jack & Jill Daycare for 37 years. Surviving Family: Son - Hershel Glenn Meales and wife Ruth Ann of Milan, TN Daughters - Linda Younger and husband James of Humboldt, TN, Dianne Holt and husband Rickey of Milan, TN, and Rene Mayo of Milan, TN Nephew - Dennis Jones and wife Sue of Milan, TN Niece - Donna Parkins and husband Denton Clay of Milan, TN Grandchildren - 7 Great Grandchildren - 15 Great-Great Grandchildren - 8 She is preceded in death by her husband Hershel Willard Meales; parents, James Carl Moore and Ruthie Erma Barr Moore; brothers, Charlene Moore and J.W. Moore; sister, Eulene Jones; granddaughter, Cammie Brooks Floyd; and niece, Denice Brewer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the charity of their choice.
