Graveside services for Mrs. Carolyn Richardson Brake, age 86 of Bowling Green, KY and formerly of Milan, will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will take place Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Mrs. Carolyn was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Milan where she participated in the Hand Bell Choir. After moving to Bowling Green, she joined State Street United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker living in Milan for almost 40 years before moving to be closer to family in Bowling Green, KY. Mrs. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Vickie Floyd and her husband Corky of Tallahassee, FL, Lisa McCurdy and her husband Tim of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Shannon Vaughan and her husband Burton of Bowling Green, KY; step-son, Clinton Brake and wife Jan of McKenzie, TN; step-daughter, Rachel Ferrell of Milan, TN; sister, Dorothy Day and husband Richard of Palm Harbor, FL; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Arthur Roberts and Mary Louis Fowler Roberts; her first husband of 43 years, Kenneth Richardson; second husband of nearly 6 years, Duncan Brake; and a brother, Bobby Roberts. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to First United Methodist Church in Milan or to State Street United Methodist Church in Bowling Green, KY.
