Funeral service for Ms. Carolyn McLemore White, age 86 of Lavinia, will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 2 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lavinia Cemetery in Lavinia. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday from 5 9 pm and on Saturday from 12 2 pm at the funeral home. She was born on September 19, 1932 to Vannon Thomas and Irene Shelton McLemore. Carolyn was a member of the Lavinia Baptist Church since 1961. She graduated from Medina High School in 1950 and she retired from the Porter Cable Company in Jackson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elvis White, a sister Sue Smith and an infant sister. Carolyn is survived by a daughter Cindy McGregor (Joe) of Atwood, three grandchildren Bridget Bolton (Jacob) of Milan, Tabatha Ward of Milan and Trent McGregor of Atwood, eight great grandchildren Hayden Bolton, Brooklyn Gregory (Sam), Jaxon Hames, Bryce Bolton, Brinley McAlexander, and Hudson Bolton all of Milan and Connor McGregor and Caiden McGregor both of Atwood, one great-great granddaughter Julia Jane Gregory of Milan and one great-great granddaughter arriving in October, Gracelyn Gregory, two brothers Ralph McLemore (Alma) of Parkers Crossroad and Thomas McLemore (Barbara) of Medina, a sister Norma Finch (Harold) of South Haven, MS, one step granddaughter Lela Walker (Chris) of Clinton, KY and two step great grandchildren Joseph Green and Lucas Walker both of Clinton, KY.
