Funeral services for Charles David Vestal, age 72 of Milan, will take place at 2:00 PM Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Charles David Vestal was born on February 5, 1951, to the late Howard and Lucille Norvell Vestal, in Humboldt, TN. He passed away September 20, 2023, at Jackson General Hospital. Charles retired from Ameristeel after 30+ years of service. He loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Charles won awards for skeet shooting and he enjoyed reloading ammunition. Surviving Family: Sons - Bradley Vestal, Sr of Humboldt, and Bruce Vestal of Milan Brothers - Tommy Vestal, Wayne Vestal, and Howard "Cookie" Vestal, Jr Sister - Sherry Gonzales of Milan Grandchildren - Blossom Mora, Autumn Vestal, Bradley Vestal, Jr, Skyler Vestal, and Dazi Vestal Great-Grandchildren - 3 Besides his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Vestal and sister, Frances Darnell.
