Christopher Wayne Martin, 51, a resident of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on August 11, 2026.

Christopher was born on November 19, 1974, to Jackie Wayne and Dixie Lee Martin of Milan, Tennessee. After graduating high school in 1993, Chris went on to study engineering at Tennessee Tech University. Following college, he chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue a career as a Controls Engineer.

Chris began his career at Process Controls in Jackson, Tennessee. Over the following years, he continued to hone his skills and perfect his craft, ultimately joining the Kentucky Ford Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked as an Automation Specialist.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Wayne Martin, of Milan; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Ethel Martin; and his maternal grandmother, Jean Reynolds, all of Milan, Tennessee.

He is survived by his mother, Dixie Lee Martin; his sister, Michelle Martin Dunlap (Chris); his niece, Kylie Dunlap; his nephew, Jackson Dunlap; and his best boy and faithful companion, D’Artagnan.

A celebration of life will be held at Bodkin Funeral Home at 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 1, 2026. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 pm until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Chris’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
