Funeral service for Mr. Curtis Wayne Thompson, age 84 of Milan, will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 1 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday evening from 5 9 pm at the funeral home and on Friday from 11 am 1 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Thompson was born on December 10, 1934 to Ezra D. and Burgess Mildred Karnes Thompson in Gibson County, TN. He was a member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Milan and he was the retired owner and operator of the Thompson Appliance Store in Milan for many years. He is survived by his wife Jonnie Evelyn Thompson of Milan, four children Rick Thompson of Medina, Laura Woitovich of Bolingbrook, IL, Sandra Mudd (Jason) of Memphis and Vicki Morris of Milan, a brother Jerry Lynn Thompson of VA, six grandchildren Stephanie McAdams (Michael) of Murfreesboro, Lila Wahlquist of Memphis, Kate Mudd of Memphis, Timothy Morris (Kathy) of Humboldt, Greg Morris (Brooklyn) of Jackson and Stephen Morris of Milan and three great-grandchildren Meredith McAdams, Maddie McAdams and Mia McAdams and one "Baby Morris" great-grandchild on the way. Besides his parents, Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by two brothers Earl Thompson and Karnes Thompson and four sisters Charlene Montegue, Elizabeth Davidson, Mildred Thompson and Mary Thompson.
