Funeral services for Mr. Chalis Danny McMinn, age 73 of Lavinia, will take place at 2:00 PM Monday, August 30, 2021, at Lavinia Baptist Church in Lavinia with burial to follow in the Lavinia Methodist Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time at the church. Mr. Danny was born in Lavinia on July 18, 1948, to the late Clifford and Irmal Replogle McMinn. He was a Lavinia resident most of his life and was a member of Lavinia Baptist Church. Mr. Danny served in the United States Air Force and later retired from NCR where he was a service technician. Surviving Family: Wife - Ruby McMinn of Lavinia Son - Danny Wade McMinn and wife Tracy of Lavinia Daughter - Danielle Renee McMinn Gannaway and husband John of Lavinia Grandchildren - Raeann Duck, Cody McMinn, Leirra McMinn, and Isabella "Ella" Grace Gannaway Great Grandchildren - 11 Brothers - Kenneth McMinn, Joseph Glen McMinn, and Ronald McMinn Sisters - Rebecca Hefner, Brenda Riddle, Sandra Kay Dees, Marilyn Hicks Smith, and Margaret Carter Besides his parents, Mr. Danny is preceded in death by two brothers, Aaron McMinn and Gene McMinn.
