Darla Rae Rice, age 66 of Milan, passed away April 22, 2025, at her home in Milan. She was born October 13, 1958, to the late Robert and Deanna Delapp McCrea in Hammond, Indiana.

Darla loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers. She won Milan Yard of the Year in the past. Darla was a long-time waitress at Clennys in Milan. She loved her job and interacting with the diners. She was also fascinated with the paranormal. Darla loved to visit haunted houses and hear the stories behind them.

Darla is survived by her brother, Dale McCrea of Milan. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Rice.

A memorial visitation for Darla will take place Monday evening April 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home.
