Funeral services for Mr. Emmett Dean Jackson, age 88 of Lavinia, will take place at 1:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2018, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday from 11:00 AM until service time, at the funeral home. Mr. Jackson retired from the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service after 30 years of service. He also farmed cotton. He was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church where he was a pillar of the church. He served in the United States Army. Surviving Family: Son - Kenny Jackson and wife Cheryl of Lavinia, TN Sister - Eleanor Moody of Blue Goose, TN Grandchildren - Amanda March, Jamie Neely, and Crystal Shaw Great Grandchildren - Chloe, Caitlin, Kaycia, Carisa, Aydin, E' Kaiya Special Friend and Dance Partner - Shirley Dunnigan He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Clarence and Lela Tyler Jackson, wife, Lois Juanita Price Jackson, daughter - Dixie Lynn Neely, brother, Jesse Clois Jackson, sisters, Imogene Gatley, Barbee McAlexander, Reba Jackson, and Janice Coleman.
