Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil Doris Caldwell, age 78 of Atwood, will take place at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood. Visitation with the family will take place Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Doris was born to the late Cecil and Ruby Dial Thomas in Lake County, TN. She passed away July 23, 2023, in Jackson. Doris attended Howse Baptist Church in Atwood. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly. Surviving Family: Husband - Jerry Caldwell of Atwood, TN Daughters - Deborah McAlexander and husband Jeff of Atwood, TN, Monya Hansel of Atwood, TN, and Angie Trull of McKenzie, TN Brother - Donny Thomas of North Carolina Sister - Shirley Williams and husband Garland of Hickman, KY Grandchildren - Matt Caldwell and wife Morgan, Raini Hansel ( fiance' Michael Goodrich), and Isabella Hansel Great Grandchildren - Grayson Caldwell and Zoey Caldwell. Besides her parents, Mrs. Doris is preceded in death by four brothers, Doyle Thomas, Kenneth Thomas, Bobby Thomas, and Danny Thomas.
