Funeral service for Dorothy Nell "Dot" Cook, age 84 of Atwood, will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Howse Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Howse Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, July 28, from 10 AM - 12 PM at the church.

Dot was born on February 11, 1941, to Grady Richard and Minnie Lee Brown Hill in Crockett County. She was a faithful member of the Howse Baptist Church and she retired from public work from the ITT Corporation. Dot was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband Haskel Cook of Atwood, a son David Cook of Atwood, two sisters Elizabeth Harris of Alabama and Shirley Clark (Randy) of Jackson, twelve grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Dot was preceded in death by two sons Rocky Cook and Kent Cook, a daughter Billie Kay Rice and a brother Grady E. Hill.
