Dorothy Claybrook Crenshaw, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, July 10, 2022. She was born February 4, 1929, to Mr. & Mrs. Paul Morris Claybrook in Trenton, TN. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Lloyd Crenshaw.
Dorothys passions included her service to family, church, friends and community. She served her family without ceasing. Her husband, children and grandchildren were always the center of her daily actions and prayers. She was devoted to the friendships she shared in Milan and her home for the past 6 years, Germantown Plantation. One of her passions, teaching, was a gift she shared with her church, First Baptist by teaching the 2nd grade Sunday School Class for over 50 years. She also served the Milan community by volunteering each week at The Mustard Seed.
Her indomitable spirit and faith were most clearly seen in her love, joy, strength and perseverance during her ten-year struggle with ovarian cancer.
Dorothy is survived by her son, David Crenshaw and wife, Wendy of Newport Beach, CA; daughter, Ellen Atkins and husband, Steve of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Rachel Montague & husband, Ross; Stephanie Atkins and fianc, Maxx Young; Lauren Atkins; Skylar Crenshaw; Paris Crenshaw; Fallon Crenshaw; great grandchildren, Lacey, James & Davy Montague. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Walker and husband, Empson and sister-in-law Ruth Claybrook. Her brothers, Lee Claybrook(Joyce) and Charles Claybrook also preceded her in death.
The family is very grateful to the many caregivers who loved her well at Germantown Plantation.
Visitation begins at 1:00pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00pm, Thursday, July 14, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Milan, TN.
