Harold Dwayne Knott, age 76 of Bradford, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness. He was born on February 18, 1944 to Hearl P. and Lora Kate Hampton Knott in Idlewild, TN. Dwayne graduated from Bradford High School in 1962 where he excelled in basketball. His 1962 team was inducted into the Gibson County Sports Hall of Fame. Upon graduating from high school, he worked for Brown Shoe Company in Dyer, R T McKelvey Furniture in Milan and later worked at and retired from Foamex in Milan. Dwayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Monda Sue Williams Knott of Bradford, two children Kevin Knott (Cindy) and Stacey McDade (Charlton) both of Bradford, one sister Loretta Pigg of Milan, a brother Dan Knott of Somerset, KY, five grandchildren Clayton McDade (Cassidy) of Bradford, Candance Jennings (Ryan) of Milan, Jordan McDade (Emily) of Bradford, Caleb Knott of Milan and Hannah Bynum (Derick) of Bradford and six great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Howard Knott and B. W. Knot and one sister Betty Knott. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 12:30 pm at the Bradford Cemetery in Bradford. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday morning from 10 am until 12 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home. The public is invited to attend the visitation and the graveside service.
