Funeral service for Gary Earl Jarrett, age 87 of Lavinia, will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 3:30 PM at the Lavinia Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Lavinia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 1:30 3:30 at the church. He was born in Cedar Grove on May 22, 1934 to Valcar E. and Josephine Lewis Jarrett. Earl spent most of his adult life working and making a career in the military. He retired from the Tennessee National Guard after 40 plus years of service. He is survived by two sons Gary Lynn Jarrett (Patti) of Milltown, IN and Jerry Jarrett of McKenzie, two step children, Stephen Hughes (Noel) of Milan and Melinda Simons (David) of Milan, a daughter in law Michelle Jarrett of McKenzie, fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great grandson arriving soon. Besides his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife Linda Jarrett, a son David Jarrett, a step son Scott Hughes and a sister Mary Dubsky.
