Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Marvin Gordon, age 72 of Milan, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will take place Friday evening from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Eddie was a Christian man who went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2018. He was a Telecommunications Specialist working for ITT, KTI, and DTI. He graduated from Atwood High School and the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. He served his country in the United States Army, where he received the 19th Infantry Certificate of Achievement and a Letter of Commendation. Mr. Gordon also received several awards for marksmanship. While serving he set the record for the fastest message sent via Morse Code. Eddie had a love for music, and loved to share it with others. He often visited nursing homes playing guitar and keyboard for the residents. His children and grandchildren were fortunate to have inherited his talent and passion for music. Williams, John Williams II, Carli Williams, Kalynne Williams, Cooper Denton, Sophie McCormick, Sloan McCormick, Madison Gordon, Seth Gordon, and Gentrie Gordon Mr. Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Woodrow Gordon and Augusta Hayes Gordon, brother, Tommie Leonard Gordon, and a sister, Alice LuWanda Mason.
