Funeral services for Monelle Crews, age 82 of Milan, will take place at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Trezevant. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM service time at the funeral home.

Monelle was born January 18, 1943, to the late Elbert and Dorothy Mallard Cole. She passed away peacefully at her Milan Home on December 28, 2025. She was a member of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church. Monelle's dedication and work ethic were evident throughout her career. She proudly worked at the Milan Arsenal and later, at American Chain and Cable Company where she retired after 20 years of exemplary service as a supervisor. Not only was she a meticulous professional, but during her tenure, she also formed lasting friendships and influenced many with her integrity and kindness.

Monelle was a beloved mother to her son, Tony Hames (Debbie) of Trezevant, TN, and her daughter, Rhonda Cantelmo (Rick) of Fort Mill, SC. She also cherished her stepdaughter, Janet Perry (Ed) of Kenner, LA, and her sister, Nancy McCormick of Bradford, TN. Monelle's joy was further multiplied by her grandchildren: Joely Cantelmo (Will) of Dallas, TX; Hunter Hames (Alayna) of Lewisburg, TN; and Harlan Hames of Trezevant, step-grandchildren Aaron Gallimore (Kim) of Martin, TN, and Noah Gallimore (Lisa) of Gulf Port, MS. She was blessed to know her five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless happiness.

Besides her parents, Monelle is preceded in death by husbands, Bill Hames and Harold Crews.
