Funeral service for Mr. Franklin Delano "Frank" Rushing, will be held at 4 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 2 4 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Rushing was born on May 11, 1933, to Clyde and Nettie Laster Rushing in Parsons, TN. He was a member of the Double Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a retired farmer and he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Rushing, three brothers Pete Rushing, J.D. Rushing and Joe Rushing and three sisters Idelle Clenney, Shirley Murphy and Polly Powers. Frank is survived by his son Mike Rushing (Melody) of Milan, one brother Clyde Rushing, Jr. (Rose) of Milan, a sister Willadean Rushing of Milan, two grandchildren James Rushing (Miranda) of Henderson and Rhea Scott of Milan and one great-grandchild Ronan Rushing of Henderson.
