Funeral service for Franklin D. Rauchle, age 89 of Milan, will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2 pm with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 10 am 2 pm at the church.
Mr. Rauchle was born on March 7, 1933 in Milan to Herman and Anna Lewis Rauchle. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a past church treasurer. Before his official retirement, he was the co-owner of the 45 Salvage Company in Milan and later worked as a Funeral Assistant with the Bodkin Funeral Home. He also served in the U S Army and later retired from the military after many years of service in the Army National Guard. Franklin was known as a man that walked in excellence.
He is survived by his wife Jane Rauchle of Milan, a daughter Lori Keen (George) of Milan, three grandchildren Brandon Alan Powers (Katie) of Milan, Christopher Franklin Powers (Ashten) of Lawrenceburg and Ashley Brooke Powers of Milan, three great grandchildren Bryan Powers, Mia Joy Powers and Emma Jane Powers and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by a brother Herman Rauchle, Jr. and a sister Dorothy Tate.
