Franklin Raymond Saul, born on May 6, 1947 in Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away on June 20, 2026 at Jackson General Hospital. His passing is felt deeply by those who knew and loved him.

Franklin’s journey began in the small town of Murphysboro, where he was welcomed into the world by his parents, Raymond Saul and Joan Kessel Saul, both of whom preceded him in death. The values they instilled in him during his formative years shaped the person he became—steadfast, compassionate, and principled.

Throughout his life, Franklin demonstrated unwavering dedication to his family. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Elise Arnold, grandson, Adam Arnold, brother, Randy (Claudia) Saul of Springfield, MO, and sister, Kendra (Mike) Yancy of Eureka, MO. Franklin’s legacy will live on through Elise and Adam, as well as in the memories cherished by all whose lives he touched.

Franklin earned his Master’s degree from Murray State University, where he built a strong foundation in leadership and risk management. He worked for TVA as a Safety Manager.

Franklin’s family ties held a particularly special place in his heart, and the loss of his parents was something he carried with grace and resilience. His devotion to his loved ones was evident in every phase of his life. Whether navigating milestones or offering quiet support during times of need, Franklin remained a steady presence.

To honor and celebrate Franklin’s life, visitation will be held on June 26, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Bodkin Funeral Home, located at 2000 South 1st, Milan, Tennessee. The funeral service will take place at the same location, beginning at 2:00 pm with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Friends and family are invited to gather, remember, and pay their respects.

Franklin Raymond Saul is remembered for being a proud and loving father and grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy that will endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him father, friend, or family. May his memory be a comfort and a blessing.
