Funeral service for Theresa Gail Mayo, age 67 of Milan, will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Bodkin Funeral Home at 12 pm with burial to follow in the Pratt Cemetery near Milan. Gails family will be receiving friends on Wednesday evening from 5 8 pm and on Thursday from 10 am 12 pm at the funeral home. Gail was born in Gibson County on January 19, 1955 to Irvin and Edwina Thompson Spain. She was educated in and graduated in the Bradford School system and she attended the West Carroll Unity Baptist Church in Trezevant. She is survived by two sons, Keylon Mayo (Tonya) of Lexington and J. R. Mayo (Laura Plunk) of Milan, three grandchildren Aaron May and Alex Mayo both of Lexington and Baylee Gail Mayo of Milan, three brothers Tommy Spain of Milan, Billy Spain of Bradford and Cecil Spain of Somerville and a sister Diane Capps of Atwood. Besides her parents, Gail was preceded in death her husband James Mayo, three brothers Bob Spain, Leon Spain and Johnny Spain and a sister Joyce Goff.
